🐊 Land Rover Discovery 1 Immobiliser Bypass
With Nanocom, you will be able to turn off EKA and the Immobiliser, the car will then work happily with just the key, even the drivers door lock issues are reduced. I have 2 P38's operating that way. In this mode you can also disconnect the aerial from the FOB receiver to eliminate one source of battery drain.
I was able to clear the Faults but when I stopped and and tried to restart- Nothing-. I looked at the fault codes via the GAP Tool and got many many of them one in particular was scary-. U0167-00 (2A) Lost communication with Vehicle Immobilizer - but the immobilization part worked- vehicle was immobilized on the side of the highway.
Insert key into driver's door lock, turn key to the unlock position and hold for at least 5 seconds. There will be an audible warning when the BCU is ready to accept the code. Return the key to the rest position. It is now possible to use the key to enter the separate numerical values of the 4 digits that make up the EKA code.
Hi. If the Eureka unit is the universal Defender / Discovery 1 Land Rover part it is just a plug in replacement unit for the "Smart Spider" no need to cut or modify the harness except for the feed wires. (Located under the centre of the dash ) View attachment 164335. You could just replace the unit with the spider bypass which retail under £10.

If you have bypassed the spider unit as per many previous posts it requires the unplug of one control unit and the earth of 2 wires to bypass the complete alarm system. No more than 5 minutes including the removal of the trim panel. Scary one I must say. 2012/03/12, 04:23 PM #8. LRwit.

Hi, Have been hanging around on here for a while, but not posted much as I have not had anything to ask. However, The immobiliser on my 1996 300TDi Auto with EDC is showing early signs of imminent death, ie not always de-immobilising. I have done the usual and changed the remote batteries and als
To do this, turn on the ignition, use your centralized button to enter the digits, several quick presses (example: 2 for digit 2) then a stop of one and a half seconds to confirm the digit and resume, duplicate the process until you have entered the entire code. This should allow your Dodge Charger to start without having to remove the immobiliser.
A short video just to give some idea of how/where to find and remove an aftermarket immobiliser, as fitted to my 300Tdi Discovery
